The main objectives of ASDECO

To integrate
different research capabilities to provide significant
improvement in the automatic control of brine effluents from
desalination plant.

To analyze the
Ocean-Meteorological data related to brine effluent data in real
time (all of which is registered and monitored by the ASDECO
system).

To balance the
marine assimilation capacity (physical, chemical and biological)
and the environmental protection levels and to maximize the
efficiency of brine dilution.

To carry out the
environmental monitoring program required by the Environmental
Impact Declaration in order to provide efficient management and
environmentally friendly brine effluent.

To inform plant
managers about marine ecosystem conditions in time and space and
to alert them to both favorable and unfavorable conditions that
require a different management protocol.
