The main phases of ASDECO:

  1. The establishment of ocean-meteorological stations: design, selection, integration, validation and routine maintenance of components and anchoring systems (near-field, far-field, contour).

  2. The development of a decision and alert tool to analyze the instant, daily and monthly outfall discharge and to take appropriate management measures to maximize the dilution of the discharge and reduce its impact on the marine environment.

  3. The development of a
management and monitoring tool to collect and monitor the outfall management that takes place at several desalination plants. The system will centralize information, make follow-up reports and post this data online.

  4. The validation of the prototype will be by field trial in a desalination plant and comparison with expert and mathematical models. An international technical symposium will be held.
